Members and Associate Members

North Texas Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NTAGGL)

We are now accepting applications for “NTAGGL Scholarships – 2024”. In 2023, we awarded five (5) $1,000 Scholarships to students who were working hard to better their futures by continuing their education and striving for a degree in their chosen field of study.

Since 2012, we have provided the NTAGGL Scholarship Award Program to deserving students. Through your financial assistance and endowment sponsor members, in 2014 we raised enough money to fully endow the North Texas Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders Endowment (Endowment) with First Command Educational Foundation (FCEF). FCEF has been providing scholarships in the U.S since 1983 and has awarded over $5 million dollars in scholarships to over 2,000 students.  The Foundation awards scholarships to students all over the nation, averaging approximately $133,000 per year for higher education. All funds generated from the Endowment, as well as other specified funds raised throughout the year, will be used for the NTAGGL Scholarships.

The Endowment will allow NTAGGL to grant several scholarships each year to eligible students that reside in one of the 72 counties of the SBA District that we service in North Texas. NTAGGL’s scholarship awards are for those seeking degrees in Social Sciences, Business Degrees, Banking/Finance Degrees, or any other degree plan at a two or four-year college or university for a bachelors or graduate program.

Our Partnership with FCEF offers many benefits, including the funding process. The process involves our five Selection Committee Members, carefully chosen by the Scholarship Committee. The Selection Committee will review and score each application using the review/scoring system outlined by NTAGGL. We will also provide additional credit to those who qualify under Low to Moderate Income Families, as verified through the Financial Aid Department of their college or university.

Thanks to the members of NTAGGL and the NTAGGL Scholarship Committee, we will continue awarding scholarships for many years to come.

Sincerely,

Chris Allen
President NTAGGL 2024-2025
